Briarmoor Manor Sharks
The Briarmoor Manor Sharks is a recreational swim team that competes in the Atlanta Swim Association (ASA). The team complies with Atlanta Swim Association League rules and regulations. Swimmers can participate up to 18 years old as of May 31st. The team welcomes both members and non-members of Briarmoor Manor Pool.
What is a Shark?
Sharks are swimmers that are able to swim at least one length of the pool unassisted. The Sharks practice Monday through Friday to work on strokes, legalize strokes, and train based on their skill level. Swim meets will be Tuesday nights. All Sharks will receive a t-shirt, swim cap, and trophy at the end-of-season party.
What is a Shark Pup?
Pups are typically ages 3-6, need to be fully potty trained, are unable to swim the length of the pool unassisted or are uncertain about swimming in a competitive meet. Pups will either practice M/W/F or T/Th. Coaches work with small groups of swimmers to ensure they receive more individual attention. The goal is to assist them with their swimming skills in small groups so they can grow into confident swimmers. The Pups will take part in “mini meets” during the summer to show the team and parents what they have learned, using a kickboard or coach’s help if needed. Pups will receive a t-shirt, swim cap, and trophy at the end-of-season party.
How Much?
Shark Team Fees:
- Briarmoor Manor Pool Members: $125 for one Shark, $110 each addt'l Shark
- Non-Members: $175 for one Shark, $160 each addt'l Shark
- *** The team fee for swimmers ages 15 and up is $20 **
Pups Fees:
- Briarmoor Manor Pool Members: $135 (M/W/F lessons) or $100 (T/TH lessons)
- Non-Members: $185 (M/W/F lessons) or $150 (T/TH lessons)
ASA Fees:
- Sharks: $50 per swimmer. The fee for registrations on or after April 16th will be $70.00 per swimmer (a $20 late fee). Registrations on or after June 2nd will be $75.00 per swimmer (a $25 late fee).
- Pups: $28 per swimmer. The fee for registrations on or after April 16th will be $48.00 per swimmer (a $20 late fee).
